Week 2 T&L Activities:

Basic number work and number place values and number bonds

 

Discussion with students regarding previous maths experience, when maths is used in life/college

 

Number place values:

  • Students to understand place values

 

Number:

  • Students to be able to write numbers in written form and numerical form.

 

 

Number bonds

  • Students to try to work in pairs in order to make different number bonds eg number bond is 10 one student will say 4 and the other should say 6
  • Card game 11s

 

Used in context of exams, where appropriate
