Week 19

In this week's content we will work as esports journalists. You will be required to prepare questions, conduct an interview accurately and turn your notes into a structured feature article.

Steps to complete:

1. Complete the student-led question workshop and identify which questions are most likely to produce useful answers.

2. Analyse how a model feature combines scene-setting, factual context, quotation and analysis.

3. Choose an interview subject or fictional role and write eight purposeful questions.

4. Conduct the interview or role-play, listening carefully and checking any unclear answers.

5. Select accurate quotations and organise your notes into a feature plan.

6. Write approximately 450 words with a headline, standfirst, quotations, context and effective ending.

7. Check that you have not invented or altered quotations.

By the end you will have interview notes and a finished esports feature article.
