Week 32
In this week's content we will be looking at it start-up plan and pitch: communicating a viable enterprise through a realistic Level 3 IT context. You will be required to turn the selected enterprise idea into a coherent start-up plan and pitch that explains customers, operations, technology, risks and evidence.
Steps to complete:
1. Use learner-prepared investor questions to stress-test assumptions before writing.
2. Complete the supplied start-up canvas: problem, customer, proposition, channels, resources, partners, costs and income.
3. Specify the systems, data, support, security and service processes needed to operate responsibly.
4. Rank the five assumptions most likely to affect viability and state how each could be tested.
5. Write a 500-word start-up plan with clear evidence, realistic caveats and immediate next steps.
6. Deliver a three-minute pitch, answer questions and write one paragraph explaining what you would change after feedback.
By the end of the session you should have a completed enterprise canvas, IT operations checklist, 500-word start-up plan and formal pitch/reflection.
