Week 18

In this week's content we will learn how reviewers make fair and convincing judgements. You will be required to agree suitable review criteria, collect evidence and write a balanced review of an esports game, broadcast or event.

Steps to complete:

1. Join the student-led rating activity and discuss why different people may score the same thing differently.

2. Analyse the model review for criteria, structure, tone, evidence and balance.

3. Agree five or six fair class criteria, such as clarity, accessibility, pacing or competitive integrity.

4. Watch or read the selected material and record evidence under each criterion.

5. Plan an overall judgement that recognises strengths and weaknesses.

6. Write a 400-word review with a clear introduction, developed evidence and final verdict.

7. Edit unsupported claims and improve precise evaluative vocabulary.

By the end you will have a complete evidence-based review.
