Week 25

In this week's content we will practise crisis communication when an esports event has a problem. You will be required to communicate accurate information to different audiences while keeping tone calm, clear and accountable.

Steps to complete:

1. Complete the student-led ranking task and decide what information should be communicated first.

2. Read the fictional crisis scenario and list the stakeholders affected.

3. Compare the two model statements for clarity, tone, accountability and missing information.

4. Create a 250-word official statement explaining what happened, what is being done and what happens next.

5. Produce a matching 60-word social-media update and a six-question FAQ.

6. Take part in the press conference and answer questions without inventing facts.

7. Check that all three written formats are consistent.

By the end you will have a complete crisis-communication pack.
