This task should be completed in a report format. You will need to research the appropriate layout for a report and the relevant headings for a report.

Scenario

You have found a work experience placement in an Interactive Media company called Soap. http://www.soap.com.au/

As part of your induction to the company they want to ensure you are aware of the different legislations and the impact on the way you work.

Your report should cover and show an understanding of the following legislation.

Describe, with appropriate illustrations, the key elements contained within 

1. The Data Protection Act
2. The Computer Misuse Act
3. The Freedom of Information Act
4. The Health and Safety at Work Act
5. Communications Act
6. Defamation Act
7. Malicious Communications Act
8. Copyright, Designs and Patents Act

HINTS:

• The word ‘describe’ means you can’t copy and paste information you don’t understand from the internet!
• Include the relevant dates for the acts.
• Be careful to use only UK / EU legislation.
• By appropriate illustrations we would like to see, sketches, clipart, pictures etc to help make your report interesting.  However, pictures are not the key element, your appropriate descriptions are.
