Week 8
In this week's content we will study how clear communication helps an esports team work successfully. You will be required to compare different registers, design a communication protocol and test it in a practical team challenge.
Steps to complete:
1. Take part in the student-led “clear comms” activity and identify what caused misunderstandings.
2. Compare informal callouts, a coach briefing and a formal rulebook extract.
3. Highlight how vocabulary and sentence structure change for different audiences and purposes.
4. Create a one-page communication protocol containing concise callouts, escalation phrases and respectful feedback language.
5. Use your protocol during the collaborative strategy simulation.
6. Review what worked and rewrite any unclear instructions.
By the end you will have a tested communication protocol that another team could understand and use.
